Everybody Loves Ziplines!

When you're on vacation or a weekend getaway, it's often a challenge to find things to do that everyone in the family enjoy equally or is even capable of doing as part of the group. If you've ever found yourself in that camp, then consider ziplining as a must-do for your next trip to the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee.

Here at Smoky Mountain Ziplines, we've found that ziplining has universal appeal. Our customers have ranged from children to newlyweds to retired couples. That's due, in part, to the fact that ziplining is very appealing as a family or group adventure, but our age and weight limits also make our course accessible to large numbers of people. We can accept children as young as 8 and who weigh at least 60 pounds, and there's no maximum age limit beyond an individual's physical capabilities. The maximum weight allowed is 275 pounds, but otherwise, anyone can experience the excitement.

Do our guests have fun? We'll let them speak for themselves. Here's a small sampling of recent reviews we've received on TripAdvisor.com.

“AWESOME EXPERIENCE. This is the place to zipline. The rates are competitive. The main building is inviting with its large porch, picnic tables with checkers, and rocking chairs. The guides were competent and funny. We felt safe and entertained at the same time. With multiple ages in our family, from 9 to 65 years, the guides accommodated each of our skill and fear levels.”

“GREAT TIME! Our guides made our experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour to anyone.”

“BEAUTIFUL SCENERY. The guides were amazing. It was my mom's first time going, and she loved it! They knew how to joke around to put people at ease, but they also ensured our safety.”

“SO MUCH FUN. My new husband and I had so much fun! Can't wait to go back. Already planning our next trip. The view was amazing, and the guides were funny.”

“AWESOME TIME. My husband and I did this together, and I'm so glad we did. I'm terrified of heights but wanted to do something adventurous. This was definitely it! The guides and staff are so nice, and safety is their top concern. We will be back!”

We could go on and on, because our TripAdvisor page has 156 pages' worth of similar comments by guests from all over the world. In fact, we currently have a full 5-star rating on the site, with 92 percent of ratings being Excellent and 5 percent being Very Good. Only 3 percent of the nearly 1,600 reviews rated us average or lower. TripAdvisor currently has us ranked number one out of 12 outdoor activities in Pigeon Forge.

So what is it about our Smoky zipline attraction that merits all this generous praise? A lot of those attributes were mentioned in the comments. Our guides are experienced, well trained and safety-minded, and (this is a running theme) they are very funny and entertaining. Their humor appeals to all ages, and sometimes, that's just what's needed for guests who may be a little apprehensive about taking that first step off the launch platform.

You also hear a lot of positive comments about our views. We're located in the mountains of East Tennessee, and several vantage points on our course offer stunning panoramic views of other sections of the Smokies range. They're photo-worthy sights, for sure.

And of course, our eight-line zipline course is exciting to the max. We have lines that are as long as 800 feet, that will have you flying along higher than most of the surrounding trees. There's nothing like the feeling of speeding through the air like a bird, with the wind in your face, to make you feel alive and excited about vacationing in the Great Smoky Mountains.
